PUBLIC CHARACTER RECORD

What is known

Voldra tends the public shade screens at Canopy Exchange in Sunspindle Commons, checking folds and fastenings before the screens are raised. Deliberate and guarded, Voldra gives each screen room to open without letting a hurried crowd dictate the pace. The work asks for patient care, not any assumed power in Voldra's folded body.

PHYSICAL RECORD

A presence before an explanation

Silhouette
Top-heavy, crown-broad, and densely tiered. The outline rises into high outer flanges, narrows sharply into the central face, then drops into a stout body with layered lower edges. It should feel compact from head to foot, but unusually deep through the chest, shoulders, and folded upper structures.
Scale
Reads as short to medium in height, but thick through the torso and exceptionally wide through the upper body. The creature's mass is not lanky or flat; it feels compressed, dense, and built in overlapping depth, with the head and upper anatomy dominating visual space.
Material
Sun-warmed ochre hide with deeper ember-brown outer ridges, weathered keratin tips, and richer protected tones in the interior folds and under the chest layers.
Colour
#E8C98B, #B88043, #7A5030, #4A342B, #221B19

OCCUPATION & CHARACTER

Shade-screen steward

guardeddeliberateobservantdignifiedselectively tender

Its body looks built for dramatic expansion, but its nature is careful, private, and far more interested in controlled shelter than display.

WANTS

  • to remain self-possessed in unfamiliar settings
  • to be approached with patience rather than assumption
  • to choose its moments of opening and closeness

FEARS

  • being crowded into exposure
  • being reduced to an intimidating outline
  • losing composure before trust is earned

HABITS

  • holding still long enough to seem carved before making a small corrective shift
  • tucking its upper structures tighter when uncertain
  • watching from under its brow before committing to movement
  • making subtle settling motions through shoulders and chest when thinking

SOURCE ANCHORS

  • The huge upward-flaring side masses around the head and shoulders, readable as folded wings or thick protective anatomical fans
  • The long central triangular face with a pointed lower extension and small vertical eyes set deep beneath an angular brow
  • The inner paired hornlike points rising above the face within the larger outer spread
  • The repeated zigzag and broken-edge anatomy across crest, chest, limbs, and feet
  • The short, thick lower body and large grounded feet carrying an oversized upper depth
