A presence before an explanation
- Silhouette
- Top-heavy and shrine-like: a stacked dome of caps and frills over a narrow stalk center, widening again into oversized planted feet. The outline reads almost like a totem grown from fungus rather than built.
- Scale
- Feels short to medium in height but very broad in visual presence because of the cap span. The head mass dominates the body, while the feet are disproportionately large, suggesting stability and age over speed.
- Material
- Soft fleshy caps with mottled red bruising around the spotted layers, cream stalk tissue, and nearly black moisture-rich recesses in the face and gills.
