PUBLIC CHARACTER RECORD

What is known

Morrowl records the condition of the paths at Reedwater Gardens in Glassweather Reach, noting wet ground, blocked passages and stretches that need another look. The squat recorder works from sheltered edges, allowing each small change time to become clear. Heavy-lidded and easily overwhelmed by commotion, Morrowl prefers a careful note to a hurried assurance. The work is patient observation, not a claim to control the gardens or predict their weather.

OCCUPATION & CHARACTER

Garden-path condition recorder

watchfulreluctantpatientsensitivestubbornly present

It appears grumpy and resistant, but its endurance suggests a deeper softness: it keeps tolerating nearness long after a truly hostile creature would have left or struck.

WANTS

  • quiet control over its immediate surroundings
  • to avoid being overwhelmed or handled too quickly
  • gentle familiarity rather than attention

FEARS

  • sudden noise or chaotic motion
  • being cornered or made into a spectacle
  • having its signals ignored until it must overreact

HABITS

  • settling into low corners or sheltered edges
  • holding very still while tracking with its eyes
  • spreading its hands wide before shifting position
  • expressing displeasure in small visible changes rather than dramatic action

SOURCE ANCHORS

  • The enormous paired eyes with dark, melting-looking upper lids and small hanging pupils
  • The long, narrow, black nose slit descending through the center of the face
  • The tiny downturned mouth, separate from the nose and set low on the face
  • The crown-like nub or fleshy crest at the top of the head
  • The low crouched body with broad splayed hands planted forward beneath a mass of folds
